Building a Cabin at Innabah

Help us out! 3 more to go out of 12!!!!!!!

1)                  Thank you for your interest in building a cabin at Innabah. Thanks to churches like yours, we already have 6 new log cabins built,  2 vinyl siding cabins completed,  and 1 log cabin in progress! The following churches have helped us with our cabin building by either raising money or help with building the new cabins: First UMC Lancaster, Sanctuary UMC, Wayne UMC, Newtown UMC, Conshohocken UMC, Kedron UMC, Christ UMC

2)                  Our goal is to build a new cabin in the summer of 2009 and 3 more log cabins in the next 1-3 years.

3)                  Sponsorship- We like for churches to take full sponsorship for funding and helping with the cabin building. Currently, the cost for a cabin 16X24 with an 8ft porch is approximately $22,000 for everything.  The price may increase a little bit depending on when the cabin is going to be built.

This includes: Foundation Materials, Pre-cut and pre-drilled logs/beam (just like Lincoln logs), Screws and Nails, Floor and Ceiling Boards, Roofing Materials, Electrical materials, Doors and Door Knobs, Windows, 3 Bunk beds – we will add two more, Polyurethane, and Electrician costs.

4)                  Raising funds – Most churches have raised funds quickly! Sanctuary UMC raised the money in three months.  We would be happy to have someone come and speak to your congregation, Sunday School class, Mission’s committee, etc. Once your finances are in place or close to in place we will order the log cabin kit.

5)                  Building the cabin- We found the best way to the build the cabin is during the course of a week. Normally, we will provide lodging and meals for your group. We need to schedule this almost a year in advance. The staff at Innabah will make sure the foundation and the first row of logs are in place. Then, we will provide staff to assist your group with their cabin building. We will be building a log cabin in August 2009 with funds from Morrisville UMC. If you would like to come observe the process, please let us know. We have built the cabins with youth groups and adult groups.  Sometimes churches that are close to Innabah have people come in and out during the course of the week.

6)              Log Cabin Company – we just switched log cabin companies and are now using Keystone Kabins. Their website is      http://www.keystonekabins.com   --This is the link to the cabin we are building   http://www.keystonekabins.com/cabins/?link=cabindetail&id=8

We are building the Ozark cabin –However,  it will be one big open space without bedrooms, a bathroom or a kitchen.
