Information for Summer Staff
Each summer Innabah’s summer staff help campers to experience the love of Christ Jesus and grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus. Today’s children and youth desperately need Christian role models as examples to follow. Maybe God is calling you to be one of them this summer at Innabah.
QUALIFICATIONS OF SUMMER STAFF:
· Possess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ which gives witness of your faith
· Provide a Christian Role Model for campers
· Desire to serve God and eager to share His Love with others
P· Willingness to accept daily work assignments and group living situations
Available Positions
Must be 16+ Years Old
LIFE GUARDS or WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR
- Assist in all waterfront-related programs and serve as a lifeguard during swimming periods.
- Have and maintain a current American Red Cross Lifesaving Certification.
- Assist in care and cleaning of pool and pool maintenance building.
-Assist in general housekeeping of residential areas
COOKOUT COORDINATOR
- Tasks include food preparation, serving, as well as cleaning of facilities and equipment.
- Plan and implement the overall food service operation for the Cookout Programs. This includes: food preparation and distribution of individual sites’ food supplies and equipment.
KITCHEN ASSISTANT
- Help with the preparing and cooking of foods as instructed.
- Wash, care for and store food, dishes, pots and pans, food service equipment.
- Clean and maintain dining areas, food storage areas and food preparation areas.
MAINTENANCE ASSISTANTS
- Work on and complete assigned maintenance projects.
- Perform housekeeping as needed and upon the direction of the Manager of Maintenance.
- Perform lawn and grounds care, including mowing, trimming, and wood splitting
ARTS & CRAFTS ASSISTANTS
- To assist the Arts and Crafts Director in the planning and organization of arts and crafts projects and providing instruction enabling campers to complete such projects.
DINING ROOM COORDINATOR
-Set up and keep the Dining Room in a clean in an orderly manner
- Announce meals, dining hall procedures, and supervise after meal clean up
Must Be Age 18+ Years Old
COUNSELORS
- Supervise Campers 24 hours a day & accept responsibility for their spiritual, mental and physical welfare.
- Participate actively in group discussions and activities
- Assist in implementing sport, recreational and special activities.
-Lead camp run activities
DAY CAMP COUNSELOR
- Accept responsibility for the spiritual, mental and physical welfare of the campers.
- Develop and implement a schedule that is appropriate for Day Campers and meets their needs.
- Lead camp run activities
SUMMER STAFF BENEFITS:
· Summer Staff receive from $160.00 to $220.00 per week, depending upon position, prior service at Innabah, and education level achieved. Room, board, and Workmen’s Compensation are also provided as part of the salary package.
· Summer Staff receive one (1) full day off each week from Saturday noon until Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
· Summer Staff receive personal growth through challenging situations, unusual schedules, and unexpected demands of time, talents, and abilities.
